Gary Nelson in his first race as a crew chief won
Gary Nelson in his first race as a crew chief won the 1982 Daytona 500 with Bobby Allison and DiGard Racing. In his first race with Hendrick Motorsports as a crew chief, he won the 1986 Daytona 500 with Geoff Bodine.
