After leader Dale Earnhardt shreds a right rear tire in Turn 3 on the last lap of the 1990 Daytona 500, Derrike Cope takes the checkered flag with Terry Labonte and Bill Elliott in tow. It was Cope’s first NASCAR NEXTEL Cup win in one of the greatest upset victories of all time.
